APDF 2024 ARtist Info

Everything you need to know about this year's festival.

We are thrilled you can join us for APDF’24! It’s going to be fantastic, because of all of you!

We want to make sure you have all the information you’ll need to perform at your best and enjoy your time in Asbury. This page is your go-to spot for details about this year's festival.

When the APDF Bus arrives at 10:45am, there will be coffee, fruit and breakfast pastries when you arrive to the theater. If you're providing your own transportation, it is not required to arrive at this time, but we do ask that you arrive NO LATER than 1 hour before your scheduled rehearsal (see detailed schedule HERE and below).

After a short orientation, you will be directed or escorted to your nearby host house. If you’re not staying the night, there is space in the theater for you to relax, the beach is a short walk away and there are lots of local spots to eat and shop.  Michael and VJ’s house in Ocean Grove (a short walk/Uber ride away) is also available if anyone needs a place for downtime. If anyone needs to utilize a car service on Saturday or Sunday morning, or if you're transporting yourself to Asbury Park, please submit receipts to us at to be reimbursed. Please include your Venmo/Zelle/Other.

We've arranged  a studio across the street from the studio for personal warm-up time during the day, likely between 12:00-3:00PM.  We will share details during the short orientation.

Costumes are optional for the technical run through, but if you choose to wear your costume, there is not a washer or dryer on the premises (we do have Febreeze!).  There will be a steamer and iron at the theater for costume touch-ups, and Michelle is a whiz with a needle and thread if needed. If you prefer not to wear your costume, just let our Production Manager Donalee see what you’ll be wearing.

Photographer John Herr will be on site shooting during the rehearsal and performance.  As in year's past, he's offered photograph portraits of all the performers.  This too is option but can be a lot of fun and the photos will be yours to use as you like.

Please take a moment to complete this brief Media Release form prior to your arrival.

If there’s anything we’ve missed, or if you have question, do not hesitate to reach out.

We can't wait for you to MOVE Asbury Park!

With love and appreciation,

Michelle, Laura, Michael & VJ
